About
Hi!
I’m Juliana and I’m a Catholic sacred artist raised in Vancouver, BC. I have always been interested in the world of art, and spent my childhood experimenting with various mediums, including graphite sketching, oil pastels, charcoal, acrylics, gouache, and watercolour. Now, I work primarily with oil paints, which give me the versatility I need to express a variety of motifs.
My primary objective is to inspire and share my faith through my work, and create pieces that enhance both personal and communal devotion.
While my work encompass a variety of motifs, colours, and figures, I’m particularly drawn to deeper, contemplative subjects that evoke a nostalgic and solemn atmosphere. Through these paintings, I aim to offer a visual sanctuary where viewers can engage in spiritual reflection. My art not only reflects the timeless beauty of Catholic traditions but also encourages the viewer to pause, reflect, and find solace within a world of constant distraction.
My focus is to create paintings that transcend temporal boundaries while fostering a dialogue between the past and present. I hope that my work encourages viewers to pause and contemplate universal themes of mortality and the divine amidst the relentless pace of modern life.
